Aston: A poor dog was left locked in a freezing car boot overnight after a crash. It happened on Dulverton Road when a driver hit a parked car.
Firefighters got the call early Saturday morning and found the dog inside the boot of a dark Volkswagen Passat. It was really cold, and the pup had been there all night.
The Aston Fire Station shared on X that the dog was silent through the freezing night. They even posted pictures showing the damage to the boot and a dog kennel inside.
West Midlands Police showed up, and they took the dog away safely. They used dog catcher poles to lead the brown dog into their van.
The fire station said they sent a brigade response vehicle to help out. They reminded everyone not to leave pets in extreme cold and to drive carefully.
As for the driver, it’s still unclear what happened to them. West Midlands Police has been asked for more info.
