Clydebank: Escapes is giving families a chance to see The Sloth Lane for free. The animation will be shown at local theaters like the Omniplex and Cumbernauld Theatre Trust.

The screenings are set for February 9, just before the official release on February 14. You can sign up for tickets now on the Escapes website.

This initiative is backed by the BFI and National Lottery funding. It promises another year of free cinema, featuring cult classics and new previews.

A spokesperson for Escapes said they want families to enjoy Sundays together at the cinema. They’re excited to screen The Sloth Lane ahead of its release.

Escapes plans to bring fresh films to audiences every month in 2025. This is a great chance for families to enjoy movies together at no cost.

Last year, the scheme welcomed over 65,000 people to see independent films. They shared on Instagram that families can grab free tickets for up to two adults and three kids.

The Sloth Lane follows a fast-paced sloth named Laura. For the first time, families can book tickets for a group, making it easier to enjoy the experience together.

Each screening will also have descriptive subtitles for wider accessibility. The initiative will announce a new film every month, continuing to provide free cinema experiences for families.
