A serious collision on Chorley New Road left four people injured, prompting a swift response from emergency services in Bolton

Bolton: Yesterday morning, there was a pretty serious crash on Chorley New Road. A fire engine collided with a car, and it wasn’t a small deal.
Emergency services got the call around 9:10 AM. Firefighters rushed to the scene to check things out and help anyone who might be hurt.
Four people were looked at by the North West Ambulance Service. Thankfully, two fire engines from Bolton Central and the Enhanced Rescue Unit from Leigh were on the scene quickly to help out.
According to a spokesperson from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, they worked alongside the police to ensure everything was safe. They were there for about an hour and ten minutes.
It’s always a bit scary when something like this happens, but the emergency teams did a great job responding fast. Greater Manchester Police and the ambulance service are still looking into the details.
