Macclesfield: Zoe Bowden kicked off her career with Cheshire Police back in 2012. She’s done a bit of everything across the county, really.
Starting out as a constable in Warrington and Runcorn, she worked closely with local communities and partners. Now, she’s stepping up as chief inspector for the Macclesfield local policing unit.
In 2018, she became a detective constable and later moved up to detective sergeant. During that time, she focused on helping some of the most vulnerable folks in the area.
Zoe specialized in tricky investigations around sexual offences and even set up programs to engage with youth and support missing or exploited young people.
Recently, she was promoted to inspector, managing resources, and then to chief inspector, leading Cheshire Police’s forensic unit.
She expressed her pride in her new role, saying she’s excited to work with a dedicated team. Zoe emphasized the importance of understanding community needs and boosting public confidence in the police.
She’s aware of the challenges in local policing and is eager to collaborate with partners to keep the area safe for everyone. Zoe is passionate about community policing and is ready to make a positive impact.
