Miami: Teddy Bridgewater just made a big splash in high school football. He wrapped up his first season as head coach at Miami Northwestern by winning the Florida state championship. They crushed Jacksonville Raines 41-0, which is pretty impressive!
The Bulls had a rough start, going 2-2 at first, but then they turned things around and won 10 straight games. Talk about a comeback! They finished the season with a solid 12-2 record, and they really dominated in the playoffs, outscoring their opponents 262-12.
Bridgewater, who used to play in the NFL, was super proud of his team. He said the kids really stuck together and trusted the process. It’s clear he’s got a knack for coaching, and he’s making a real impact on these young athletes.
After retiring from the NFL earlier this year, Bridgewater jumped right into coaching. He spent time with the players during the winter and even had them stay at school for six days to bond. He knows that teaching young players takes patience, and he’s all about helping them grow.
Even though he just won a state title, Bridgewater has his eyes on the NFL again. He mentioned he can’t wait to return, especially with so many quarterback spots open. But for now, he’s enjoying this victory and the journey with his team.
