Former Lady Provost Janis Milligan has died

Edinburgh: It’s a sad day for the city as we learn that Janis Milligan has passed away after a brief illness. She was the former Lady Provost and a cherished figure in the community.

Janis was married to Eric Milligan, a well-known Labour politician, for over 50 years. They were a true partnership, and their bond was evident to everyone who knew them.

Cllr Lezley Marion Cameron, the Depute Lord Provost, shared heartfelt words about Janis, highlighting her love and support for Eric. She mentioned how Janis brought energy and pride to her role as Lady Provost.
