Coral Gables: So, Carson Beck just made a big move! He’s decided to play for Miami next season instead of heading to the NFL. He shared the news on social media, saying “Go Canes” with a cool pic of him in a Miami uniform. Pretty exciting, right?
Before he went public, he signed a grant-in-aid agreement with the Hurricanes. This means he’s officially on board. Beck is coming off elbow surgery, but he’s set to take over as the starting quarterback for Miami in 2025.
He spent five seasons at Georgia, where he was the main starter for the last two. Over his college career, he completed 68% of his passes, racking up impressive stats with nearly 8,000 yards and 58 touchdowns. He played in 39 games, so he’s got plenty of experience under his belt.
Interestingly, he’s following a similar path to Cam Ward, who also thought about going to the NFL before joining Miami. Ward had an amazing season, breaking records left and right. Now, with Beck on board, Miami is looking pretty strong for the future!
