Forecast Millions of Aussies Won’t Like This Weekend’s Weather
A wet and stormy weekend awaits millions of Australians, with severe weather warnings issued across the east coast and heatwaves inland.

Brisbane: So, it looks like millions of Aussies are in for a wild weekend. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are set to hit the east coast, while inland areas are going to be sweltering.
There’s a severe thunderstorm warning for southeast inland Queensland. Expect heavy rain, strong winds, and even large hailstones. Flash flooding could be a real issue west of Brisbane.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, the northern and eastern parts of Australia will see widespread showers and storms. Meanwhile, the inland and southern regions will be warm and sunny.
Next week, central Australia is gearing up for a heatwave, with temperatures soaring into the mid to high 40s. But don’t worry, Sydney and Canberra will stay in the mid-20s thanks to the wet weather.
In Sydney, showers and storms are on the forecast for the weekend. Over in Victoria, the northeast and eastern areas might also see some rain and storms, but the rest of the state will be warm and humid.
Melbourne is looking at high 20s and low 30s this weekend. Tasmania will be warm and dry, with temperatures reaching the mid to high 20s, though some higher inland areas might see storms.
Inland South Australia is bracing for heatwave conditions, while Adelaide will stay in the low 30s. Over in Western Australia, it’ll be dry and sunny, with Perth enjoying high 20s and low 30s.
And don’t forget the north! Hot and stormy weather is expected, with parts of the Northern Territory, including Darwin, hitting the low 40s.
