Brixton: A tragic incident unfolded when a football fan was struck by a bus after a fight. Liam Foley, a 28-year-old Crystal Palace supporter, was out celebrating a win when things took a turn for the worse.
It all started at a KFC where Liam jumped the queue and got kicked out by security. Outside, he was joking around with a group of guys but ended up throwing a punch at one of them. Things escalated quickly.
Witnesses saw him running away from two men and into the road, where a double-decker bus hit him. It was early in the morning on April 2, 2023, and the whole scene was caught on CCTV.
Liam was a business development manager from East London and, in a selfless act, donated his organs to four people after his passing. His dad, Mike Foley, shared that he held no grudges against anyone involved in the incident.
He remembered Liam fondly, saying he was loved by many and quoted a poem to express his deep loss. The coroner concluded that Liam’s death was due to a road traffic collision, highlighting the impact he had on those around him.
