Southampton: Jordan Chiedozie, a player for Bashley FC, is in critical condition. He was hit by a car on the M27 while checking a flat tire.

Jordan was returning from a match with club physio Reighan Taylor. They stopped on the hard shoulder when a Mercedes crashed into them.

The impact was severe. Jordan suffered multiple broken bones and other injuries. He is currently in a controlled coma at Southampton Hospital.

Jordan has played for youth teams and Poole Town before joining Bashley FC. The team manager, David Lewis, expressed shock and concern for Jordan and his family.

The team is postponing their next match out of respect for Jordan. They want to support his family during this difficult time.

Bashley FC chairman Steve Lewis shared the team’s heartbreak over the incident. They are all sending love and well wishes to Jordan and Reighan.

A 44-year-old woman has been arrested for dangerous driving and suspected drunk driving. The crash occurred around 10:30 PM on the M27.
