Cardiff: Stormy weather is causing quite a stir in Wales. Flooding and transport issues are on the rise as heavy rain sweeps through the area. A yellow warning is in effect, with ten flood alerts already issued.

The Met Office is predicting a lot of rain, with some areas expecting between 20mm to 40mm, and even more on higher ground. It’s a bit of a mess out there!

Over in Devon, they recorded 35.8mm of rain just yesterday. And if that’s not enough, Berry Head saw gusts of 83mph! It’s wild out there, especially in coastal areas.

Most of the flood warnings are for the south-west and coastal regions. Here’s a quick rundown of the areas affected: Lower Severn catchment, North Wales coast, River Wye, and more.

The Natural Resources Wales agency is keeping a close eye on things. They’re warning that high tides combined with the weather could lead to flooding early Monday morning.

Marco Petagna from the Met Office mentioned that the unsettled weather is sticking around for a bit. We’re in for more wet and windy days ahead.

Storm Herminia, while not as fierce as Storm Eowyn, is still packing a punch. Expect more rain and wind throughout the day, with coastal gales making it even trickier.

The forecast is calling for frequent showers and possibly some heavy downpours. So, if you’re out and about, be careful! The temperatures will be around 7 °C, but it’s going to feel a lot chillier with the wind.

As the evening rolls in, more rain is expected, especially in southern coastal areas. It’s going to be a windy night, but at least it won’t be freezing.

The yellow warning covers a lot of ground, including areas like Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, and Swansea. So, keep your eyes peeled and stay safe!
