Cowdenbeath: So, there was this wild scene at a supermarket car park. Fire crews had to rush over because a car was on fire, and you can imagine the shock for shoppers.
The fire started under the hood of a red Hyundai parked outside Lidl and B&M on a Monday afternoon. It was pretty intense, with flames shooting out and smoke filling the air.
Photos from the scene show firefighters working hard to put it out while smoke billowed up into the sky. Thankfully, the car was empty, so no one was hurt.
The flames were mostly under the bonnet but quickly spread to the front of the car. Firefighters had the bonnet propped open, trying to get a handle on the situation.
According to a spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, they got the call around 2:03 PM. They sent two fire engines to deal with it and made sure everything was safe before leaving.
