Derby: So, there was a bit of a scare at Murray Park Community School the other day. The fire service had to come in because of some smoke smell that got everyone worried.

The headteacher, Nicola Caley, explained that they evacuated the kids just to be safe. Turns out, it was just a light fitting that was causing the issue. But hey, better safe than sorry, right?

They made sure the kids were only out for a short while. Lunchtime got shifted a bit, but they still managed to feed everyone and keep the learning going. That’s a win!

This isn’t the first time the fire service has been called to the school. Just a few months back, they had to respond to a fire alarm too. Thankfully, that was handled quickly, thanks to the staff and caretaker.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking into it, so hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon.
