Greater Manchester: A big fire erupted on a quiet street in Altrincham, and it got everyone buzzing. On Tuesday evening, seven fire engines rushed to Normans Place to tackle the flames.

Special teams and equipment were also dispatched. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service got the call about a kitchen fire in a detached house just after 7:30 PM.

Luckily, it seems no one was home when the fire broke out. Firefighters stayed on-site the next day to make sure everything was safe.

People nearby saw a flurry of emergency vehicles zooming to the scene, and residents reported smoke filling the air. Photos taken the following morning showed smoke damage on the front of the house.

Firefighters were spotted climbing ladders to check things out. At least one fire engine was still there on Normans Place.

A spokesperson from the fire service shared that seven fire engines from across the area, along with specialized units, responded to the kitchen fire in Altrincham.

Firefighters, equipped with breathing gear, used various tools to put out the fire. They continued to monitor the area for any lingering hot spots and ensure everything was secure.
