Cork: This morning, fire crews were called to the Port of Cork in Ringaskiddy after a fire broke out on a ship. It was quite the scene!
The emergency services jumped into action, with teams from Carrigaline and Crosshaven Fire Services, along with Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service, all rushing to help.
Turns out, the fire started due to a problem with some cargo handling equipment on the bulk vessel. Not good!
Luckily, the fire crews got the flames under control pretty quickly, and thankfully, no one was hurt. An ambulance was on standby just in case, given how serious things looked.
A spokesperson for the Port of Cork mentioned that everything is under control now and all personnel are safe. Phew!
Stay tuned for more updates as they come in!
