Anglesey: So, there was a fire at a caravan park in Trearddur Bay, and it’s pretty serious. The fire broke out in a static caravan on Sunday evening, and now they’re looking into what happened.
Fire crews from three different stations rushed to the scene at Bagnol Caravan Park, which is just a short walk from the beach. This place has a lot of static caravans, around 161, plus spots for touring caravans and motorhomes.
Interestingly, this park is the bigger one compared to Tyn Towyn Caravan Park, which has 55 more pitches. Both parks are known for their cool wooden sculptures made by an Aussie artist, Andy Hancock, who now lives in Texas.
Since the caravans are privately owned and it’s the off-season, it seems like no one was around when the fire started. Videos from the scene show firefighters in breathing gear battling the flames and thick smoke.
The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the caravan was completely destroyed. They got the call about the fire at 6:46 PM on Sunday. Three crews showed up, but sadly, the damage was total.
When someone from Bagnol Caravan Park was asked for a comment, they said it wouldn’t be right to say anything since the caravans belong to private owners.
