London: Fearne Cotton recently took to social media to give her followers an update after having surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jaw. She’s feeling pretty good and is grateful for the support she’s received.
In her post, she mentioned how amazing the human body is, saying that in less than three weeks, the surgery site is hardly noticeable. She’s still got some numbness in her ear and a bit of tenderness in her face, but overall, she’s on the mend.
Fearne, who hosts the Happy Place podcast, reflected on how this experience has taught her to slow down and take better care of herself. She shared some photos showing her healing process, but warned her followers to only swipe if they were okay with seeing the stages of recovery.
She found the whole thing fascinating and expressed her gratitude that the tumours were benign. Her surgeon, Professor Oflynn, helped keep her calm, and she had nothing but praise for the nurses, especially Nurse Jackie, who encouraged her to rest instead of being glued to her phone.
Fearne also mentioned that she’ll wear her scar with pride as a reminder to prioritize her health. In the comments, fellow presenter Davina McCall sent her lots of love and healing vibes, which was sweet to see.
Earlier this month, Fearne announced that she and her husband, Jesse Wood, are ending their marriage after ten years together. They share two kids, Rex and Honey, and it’s been a lot for her lately.
Fearne has been in the public eye since the late 90s, starting with children’s shows and moving on to various TV and radio gigs. She’s currently hosting Sounds Of The 90s on BBC Radio 2, keeping her busy and connected with her fans.
