London: Nigel Farage recently admitted that Britain needs a better post-Brexit deal with the EU. This came during a tense interview where he struggled to explain what improvements he wanted.

Farage, the leader of Reform UK, criticized the current trade deal made under Boris Johnson. He said it “was not a very good one” and that there’s room for improvement.

During the BBC Radio 4 interview, Farage faced tough questions from Emma Barnett. He couldn’t specify what changes he would propose for the UK-EU relationship.

This interview followed a poll showing Reform UK ahead of Labour and Conservatives. Farage is attracting many disillusioned voters from both parties.

While he believes his party will win the next general election, he didn’t provide details on how to address ongoing Brexit issues.

Farage mentioned that Britain could negotiate a free trade deal with the US. He argued that the EU is becoming less important over time.

However, Barnett pointed out that most voters want the government to prioritize trade with the EU. She also highlighted a fisherman’s regret about voting Leave.

Meanwhile, Keir Starmer was in Brussels to reset relations with the EU. He aims to reduce trade barriers, especially in food regulations.

Starmer is expected to face pressure on fishing and youth mobility agreements during these talks.

Farage warned that Starmer’s approach might indicate he wants to rejoin the EU, which Farage believes is not sensible.

Barnett also asked Farage about Elon Musk’s recent comments. Musk suggested Farage should be replaced as leader of Reform UK.

Farage responded that he won’t be bullied and stands by his principles, regardless of Musk’s opinions.
