As Championship Week approaches, fantasy managers face tough choices on volatile players to trust in their lineups

Green Bay: So, it’s Championship Week in fantasy football, and things are getting real. You’ve got players like Jayden Reed, who started strong but has been all over the place since. Can you really count on him this week? It’s a tough call.
Week 17 is the last hurrah for most fantasy leagues. This week, we’re looking at a quarterback and some flex options that have shown flashes but haven’t been the most reliable. It’s all about figuring out who’s worth the risk.
Reed is a classic case. He was the top wide receiver in Week 1 but has since been a rollercoaster ride. He could either blow up or leave you with nothing. Recently, he’s been a bit steadier, scoring 10 points against New Orleans and nine against Seattle. But without touchdowns, his ceiling is capped.
The Packers usually lean on Josh Jacobs, and that’s been working for them. But against Minnesota, they might have to throw more. Remember their last matchup? It was a high-scoring affair, and Reed had a great game, catching seven passes for 139 yards and a touchdown. Can he do it again?
Now, let’s talk about Bryce Young. He’s my pick for a make-or-break player this week. He just had his best game, scoring 27 points against Arizona. Even though he didn’t throw for a ton of yards, his rushing ability helped him rack up points. He’s got a great matchup against Tampa Bay, and I think he could shine.
In their last game, Young threw a season-high 46 passes. He’s got the potential for a big game, especially if his receivers step up. Jalen Coker’s return could help, too. I see him as a solid streaming option this week.
Then there’s Javonte Williams. If you’ve had him on your roster, you know the struggle. One week he’s the lead back, and the next, he’s barely on the field. Last week was a mess, with another back stealing his thunder. But this week against Cincinnati could be different. The game is expected to be high-scoring, and he might get some chances.
Finally, we have the Jacksonville duo, Tank Bigsby and Travis Etienne. They’re in a split backfield, which makes it hard to trust either one. In their last game against Tennessee, Bigsby had more carries, but their fantasy outputs were pretty similar. It’s frustrating because they both have talent but can’t seem to break out.
This week, I’m cautiously optimistic about them. Tennessee’s defense has been giving up rushing yards, so there’s a chance for some decent production. Just hope for a touchdown to boost their scores.
