Mull: Claire Halliday, a 35-year-old woman, was last spotted in Fionnphort on January 7. Her family is understandably worried since it’s not like her to go silent for this long.

Police have been searching high and low, using mountain rescue teams and the coastguard, but there’s still no sign of her. It’s been a tough time for everyone involved.

Claire’s family released a heartfelt statement saying they just want to know she’s safe. They’re asking anyone with information to reach out to the police. Every little bit helps.

She’s about 5ft 4in, has shoulder-length brown hair, and some distinctive tattoos—a pink and turquoise eye on her neck and a butterfly on her lower back.

When she was last seen, she wore a white jacket with a cream hood and white trousers. She also has access to a Ford Transit campervan, which could be important.

Search efforts have included helicopters and dogs, covering areas around Fionnphort and nearby lochs. Officers have even gone door-to-door and checked local businesses for leads.

Inspector Matthew Shaw expressed deep concern for Claire’s welfare, urging anyone with even the smallest piece of information to come forward. It’s been eight days, and every bit of help counts.

If you know anything, please call Police Scotland at 101 and mention incident number 1999 from January 9, 2025. Let’s help bring Claire home.
