Aberdeen: The search for Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, two sisters who went missing, is still ongoing. Police have been scouring the River Dee and nearby areas, but there’s been no sign of them yet.

The sisters, who are originally from Hungary, were last seen out late at night, which is unusual for them. Their family is understandably worried and has reached out for help through Police Scotland.

In a heartfelt statement, the family expressed their distress, saying they just want to find Eliza and Henrietta. They’re asking anyone with information to come forward, no matter how small it may seem.

Search efforts are ramping up, with police helicopters, dogs, and marine units all involved. They’re focusing on the riverbanks and even going door-to-door in the area where the sisters were last seen.

Chief Inspector Darren Bruce mentioned that the family is extremely anxious and that the community in Aberdeen is also concerned. He urged anyone who might have seen something to reach out.

They’re particularly interested in any CCTV or dash-cam footage from the early hours of last Tuesday. Every little bit of information could be vital in finding the sisters.

If you have any information, you can contact the police at 101 and quote the incident number 0735 from January 7, 2025. Let’s hope for a safe return soon.
