Family of Alistair Wilson Disappointed at Police Chief’s No-Show

Nairn: So, the Wilson family is feeling pretty let down. They’ve been waiting to meet with Chief Constable Jo Farrell about Alistair Wilson’s murder, but no luck so far. It’s been nearly 20 years since Alistair was killed, and they’re still searching for answers.
Fergus Ewing, a local MSP, shared their disappointment in the Scottish Parliament. He met with the family recently, and they really wanted to talk to the chief constable about the case. It’s tough for them, dealing with this ongoing grief.
Alistair was shot at his home back in November 2004. Ewing mentioned how the family had already met with Scotland’s top law officer, who ordered a fresh investigation into the case. They even had a chat with the First Minister, who promised to look into their concerns.
Justice Secretary Angela Constance acknowledged the family’s unimaginable loss. She emphasized the need for open communication, even in tough situations. Meanwhile, Conservative MSP Douglas Ross couldn’t wrap his head around why the chief constable wouldn’t meet with the family, especially since others in high positions have done so.
