Aberdeen: Floral tributes are now on the banks of the River Dee. This is where bodies were found during the search for two missing sisters.

Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, both 32, are believed to be the deceased. Their family is devastated after learning about the discovery of the bodies. The sisters were last seen on January 7 before they went missing.

Flowers have been placed near the river in memory of the sisters. They moved to Scotland from Hungary several years ago. A friend, Anita Vida, has started a fundraiser to support the family during this tough time.

Anita, part of the local Hungarian community since 2011, shared her heartbreak on JustGiving. She mentioned the tragic loss of the sisters and how it has affected their family. The fundraiser aims to help ease their financial burden.

The goal of £1,500 has already been exceeded, with many donations coming in. Anita made a heartfelt appeal for support, emphasizing that any contribution would help the grieving family.

The search began when the sisters’ landlord reported them missing. He received a text on January 7, saying they wouldn’t return to their apartment. Authorities found no signs of foul play related to their disappearance.

Divers searched the river for weeks, while police boats scoured the area. The search concluded three weeks later when the bodies were discovered on January 31.

Police thanked the public for their help during the investigation. Superintendent David Howieson expressed condolences to the Huszti family and promised ongoing support.

Consider donating to the fundraiser to help the Huszti family during this difficult time.
