Ex-Doctor Jailed After Boy’s Penis ‘Exploded’ from Unsafe Circumcision
A former doctor has been sentenced for performing unsafe circumcisions, causing severe harm to young boys
Bristol, UK, Mohammad Siddiqui, Circumcision, Child Abuse
Siddiqui charged around £250 for these procedures, which he carried out in unsafe conditions, often strapping the boys down. One boy’s penis “exploded” during a procedure, nearly costing him his life.
Despite being struck off and arrested multiple times, Siddiqui continued his practice, showing a complete disregard for the safety of his young patients. He pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including assault and child cruelty.
The court heard heartbreaking testimonies from parents who felt immense guilt for trusting him. They thought they were following a religious custom, only to have their children suffer.
Judge Noel Lucas KC condemned Siddiqui for his actions, emphasizing the pain he caused to the victims and their families. The Crown Prosecution Service hopes this conviction brings some closure to those affected.
