Bristol: The new crime drama, The Crow Girl, just hit Paramount+, and folks are buzzing about where it was filmed. It’s a gripping series that’s got everyone talking.
This six-part thriller follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn, played by Eve Myles, and her partner DI Lou Stanley, portrayed by Dougray Scott. They’re on the hunt for a serial killer who’s been leaving a trail of young men in distress.
As the pressure mounts, Jeanette brings in psychotherapist Dr. Sophia Craven, played by Katherine Kelly, to help crack the case. Together, they’re trying to piece together a puzzle that’s got the city on edge.
Based on a popular trilogy by Erik Ax Sund, The Crow Girl premiered on January 16, and it’s already making waves.
Filming took place all over Bristol, starting in March 2024. A lot of action happens at the Bristol Metropolitan Police station, which was set up in an old Bank of England building.
They also shot scenes in Castle Park, including the iconic Castle Bridge and the St Jude’s area. Some filming even took the crew to Brean in Somerset, where they captured stunning shots on Brean Sands beach and Brean Down.
Eve Myles, known for her role in BBC’s Keeping Faith, shared some thoughts about her character. She described Jeanette as tough and relentless, balancing her job and family while diving deep into a case that changes everything.
