London: Netflix has dropped another mystery series based on Harlan Coben’s work. The latest, Missing You, premiered on New Year’s Day.

This new show follows the success of Fool Me Once, which starred Michelle Keegan and became Netflix’s most-watched show of 2024, racking up over 100 million views worldwide.

Coben and Netflix teamed up back in 2018, aiming to adapt 14 of his novels into series. The author is hands-on with each project through his production company, Final Twist Productions, and fans eagerly await new releases every year.

Next up is Missing You, which, despite a decent IMDb score of 6.3, only managed a lowly 36% on Rotten Tomatoes. It follows Detective Kat Donovan as she reconnects with her estranged fiancé on a dating app, leading her to revisit her father’s unsolved murder.

Hold Tight comes in next with a 37% score. This Polish series unravels the secrets of a wealthy Warsaw suburb after a young man goes missing.

Fool Me Once, despite being a hit, is surprisingly low on the list with a 71% score. It tells the story of Maya, who sees someone on her nanny cam that she thought was dead after her husband’s murder.

Safe also has a 71% score but a higher audience rating of 74%. It follows a widowed surgeon uncovering dark secrets after his daughter goes missing.

The Stranger scores an impressive 87%, featuring Richard Armitage as a family man on a quest for truth amidst a web of secrets.

Next is The Woods, a Polish miniseries with a captivating 89% score. It revolves around a prosecutor whose hopes rise when a body is found linked to his sister’s disappearance from 25 years ago.

Stay Close is the second-highest rated adaptation at 92%. It intertwines the lives of a photojournalist, a soccer mom, and a detective, all affected by a past event.
