London: So, here’s the scoop. Mark Woolley, the guy who was locked up for killing costume designer Elizabeth Sherlock, passed away in prison last year. He had cancer, and a report just confirmed it.
Woolley was sentenced to life back in 2001 for that tragic incident near Euston station. His partner snatched Elizabeth’s designer handbag, and she chased after them. It was a chaotic scene.
As she tried to stop them, Woolley just sped off, and sadly, she was thrown into the air and hit by the car. It was a horrific moment, and he didn’t even seem to care.
After the accident, he dumped the car and used Elizabeth’s bank card to get cash for drugs. The judge really laid into him, saying he showed no remorse for what he did.
Woolley was supposed to serve at least 16 years but got out on license in 2017. However, he went on the run shortly after and was caught again in Hackney.
In prison, they said he got decent medical care, just like anyone else would in the community. He died on February 5 last year, leaving behind a dark legacy.
