Essex Council Struggles to Find Home for £500 Noddy Car Purchase
Epping Town Council’s beloved Noddy car awaits a new home after its purchase
Epping, Essex, Noddy Car, Epping Town Council
Epping: So, there’s this Noddy car that the Epping Town Council bought for £500. It used to sit on the high street for over 20 years, but now it’s homeless! The original shop, Piccola, closed just before Christmas, leaving the toy’s future up in the air.
Kids were really upset when they heard Noddy might not have a place to go. Thankfully, the council swooped in at the last minute to save the day. But now, they’re scratching their heads about where to put it.
Councillor Razia Sharif is on the case, but she’s got a lot to think about. She mentioned things like needing a roof over Noddy’s head, power for the toy, and finding a friendly business to host it. Plus, they have to consider how much it’ll cost to keep it running.
Right now, there’s no solid plan for Noddy’s new digs, but Razia assured everyone that he’ll definitely stay in Epping. Before he can make his big debut, he’ll need a full MOT, which should happen next month.
Cherry McCredie, the Mayor of Epping, who suggested buying Noddy, said they’re looking at different options. They want to keep him in a central spot, under a shelter, so kids can enjoy him without getting soaked. They’re hoping to have everything sorted out soon so Noddy can keep bringing smiles to the little ones.
