Philadelphia: So, here’s the scoop. Joel Embiid won’t be playing in the Sixers’ first game of 2025 against the Kings. The team decided to give him a rest day.

This game kicks off a back-to-back stretch, with the next one against the Warriors. Embiid has been wearing a mask since he came back from a sinus fracture, and he just dropped 37 points in the last game against the Trail Blazers.

The Sixers are looking to snag their fifth win in a row, while the Kings are trying to get their second win under their new interim coach, Doug Christie. It’s going to be interesting!

Unfortunately, the Sixers will also be missing Jared McCain and KJ Martin due to injuries. Plus, some veterans like Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon are questionable for the game.

If Drummond can’t go, rookie Adem Bona might get a chance to step up. The team has been running a tight rotation lately, so every player counts.

Guerschon Yabusele has been on fire as the backup center, averaging over 14 points and shooting really well. He’s been a key player during this winning streak!
