Philadelphia: So, the Sixers had a rough night against the Pacers. Joel Embiid didn’t even make it out for the second half. That’s never a good sign.
Turns out, he suffered a sinus fracture after taking a hit to the face from Bennedict Mathurin. It happened right before halftime, and he had to leave the game with a towel on his face.
This season has been tough for Embiid. He’s already been dealing with a sore left knee and has missed a bunch of games. It’s frustrating because he’s had facial injuries before, too.
The Sixers were already short-handed, missing a few key players. With Embiid out, they’re really struggling. They’ve only had their main trio of Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey play together once this season.
It’s just one more setback for a team that’s trying to find its rhythm. Let’s hope he gets better soon, because they need him back on the court.
