Chicago: So, guess what? Joel Embiid is back! After sitting out for seven games, he returned to the Sixers’ lineup against the Bulls. Fans were buzzing with excitement.
The Sixers had listed him as questionable earlier, but just before the game, they confirmed he was in. It was a big relief for everyone. Alongside him, Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. also started, making for an interesting lineup.
Embiid had been dealing with some knee issues, but coach Nick Nurse said the swelling was down. He was finally ramping up his workouts. Still, they planned to limit his minutes, just to be safe.
Before this game, Embiid last played on November 20 against the Grizzlies, where he scored an impressive 35 points. It was a tough stretch for the Sixers without him, going 0-4 when he was available and 6-11 without him. But they managed to win four out of seven games while he was out, which was a nice surprise.
Injuries were a concern for both teams, with only a couple of players missing the game. After facing the Bulls, the Sixers will have a little break before their next game against the Pacers on Friday night.
