Eight minor girls flee Thane observation home; seven recaptured

Thane: So, here’s the scoop. Eight girls, all between 15 and 17, decided to make a break for it from a government-run observation home in Thane. They managed to break a window grill and slipped out in the early hours of Tuesday.

The caretaker noticed they were missing and quickly called the police. They jumped into action and started searching for the girls. Within a couple of hours, they found seven of them in different spots around Ulhasnagar. Luckily, they got to them before the local trains started running, or they might have made a clean getaway.

It turns out these girls weren’t too happy about being at the observation home, which is why they decided to run away. The police have opened a case regarding the incident, and they’re still looking for the eighth girl. It’s a wild situation, for sure!
