Edinburgh: Locals were stunned when a car exploded outside their homes. This happened on Monday evening around 6:20 PM.
Fire crews quickly arrived at Parkgrove Terrace. They found the car fully engulfed in flames. Smoke filled the air as firefighters worked to control the blaze.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple explosions. One resident said the car exploded three times. Flames nearly spread to nearby trees and bushes.
Firefighters battled the fire for about an hour. They managed to put it out and left the scene around 7:16 PM. Police also arrived to secure the area.
Photos taken the next morning showed the charred remains of the vehicle. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
A spokesperson from Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed they sent one appliance to the scene. Police Scotland has been contacted for further details.
