Mumbai: So, the Enforcement Directorate, or ED, just wrapped up some serious searches in Chandrapur and Nagpur. They were looking into a financial fraud case tied to a couple of guys named Abhishek and Rohit Thakur.

These searches happened on January 8 and 9, and guess what? They found jewellery worth ₹1.42 crore! That’s a lot of bling! They also snagged some property documents and other evidence that could be pretty incriminating.

The whole investigation kicked off after the Maharashtra Police filed a complaint against the Thakur brothers. They were accused of cheating the government and causing a whopping ₹12.15 crore loss to the forest department.

It turns out, the Thakurs were running a company called Wild Connectivity Solutions. They had a deal with the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve to manage visitor services, but they didn’t stick to the rules. Instead, they ended up defrauding the reserve over a few years.

During the searches, the ED found out that the Thakurs used the money they scammed to buy personal properties and pay off loans for their other businesses. Talk about a shady operation!
