EastEnders Legend Announces Engagement to Long-Term Partner

London: Rita Simons, known for her role as Roxy Mitchell on EastEnders, just shared some exciting news! She posted a cute picture showing off her engagement ring with her fiancé, Ben Harlow.
In her post, she simply said, “… so this happened!” and fans went wild with excitement.
Friends and followers were quick to congratulate her. Blue singer Duncan James chimed in with, “Love u so much! Congrats to the both of u! Jadore!!”
TV presenter Lisa Snowdon also joined in, saying, “Ahhhh congratulations” with a heart emoji. It’s clear everyone is thrilled for her!
One fan wrote, “Awww! Many congratulations to you both xx,” while former Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring added her own congrats with a heart emoji.
Bobby Seagull expressed his happiness too, saying, “And this is such wonderful news. So so so happy for you both.”
Rita and Ben first crossed paths back in 2017 during a theatre production of Legally Blonde. They started dating after Rita ended her 14-year marriage to Theo Silverton.
Rita has been a familiar face on EastEnders since 2007, but her character met a tragic end in a New Year storyline in 2017.
Besides her time on the soap, she also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here and later took on a role in Hollyoaks.
