Bristol: The buzz around The Masked Singer is wild, especially with fans thinking EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy could be the one behind the “Bush” character. But on her Off The Telly podcast, she laughed off the idea.
Chatting with her co-host Joanna Page, Natalie was like, “Can you imagine me doing that?” and made it clear, “I am not Bush.” She even pointed out that she’s not a fan of live performances and has been super busy with their podcast.
She said, “We have worked together for a whole year,” and asked, “When would I have squeezed that in?” Joanna, still a bit skeptical, promised to keep an eye out for more clues on the show.
Natalie joked that there’s not much talk about The Masked Singer at her home, but Joanna’s family is all in, even suspecting Natalie might be the mystery celeb. They think Bush’s voice sounds deeper than hers, according to BristolLive.
Even with Natalie saying no, many fans are convinced she’s the one singing behind the mask, along with other names like Scarlett Moffatt and Kerry Godliman.
Some creative fan on Reddit even suggested it could be comedian Morgana Robinson pretending to be Natalie. Betting odds show Natalie as the favorite at 1/2, while Morgana is at 10/1.
This season has already revealed three celebs, with Macy Gray being the latest. She didn’t seem too happy about leaving, especially after making it to the finals in the US version.
After her exit, Macy was pretty curt. A source told The Sun, “This has never happened on The Masked Singer before.”
When she left the stage, everyone was shocked, and backstage, they quickly took off her mask to talk to her.
The insider said she was almost in shock and really bummed to be out so soon since she loved being on the American version.
Things got a bit messy after, as an ITV source revealed Macy didn’t want to do the usual post-show interview that celebs usually give after they leave.
