Baltimore: So, the Eagles are giving Dallas Goedert a shot at returning to practice. This is great news for him and the team as they gear up for the playoffs.
Goedert landed on Injured Reserve after hurting his knee in a game against the Ravens. He’s been out for a bit, but now he can practice without taking up a roster spot. They’ve got 21 days to decide if they’ll activate him or send him back to IR.
It’s a big question whether he’ll play in the upcoming game against the Giants. Coach Nick Sirianni mentioned it’s tough to say right now, but he’s excited to see Goedert back on the field. He’s a key player who can really help the offense.
While Goedert was out, Grant Calcaterra stepped up as the starting tight end. He did pretty well, catching five passes for 72 yards in the last four games. But everyone knows Goedert is a game-changer when he’s healthy.
This season, Goedert has made 38 catches for 441 yards and two touchdowns. He’s been one of the best tight ends in the league when he’s on the field. The Eagles are definitely hoping to have him back soon, especially with the playoffs around the corner.
Goedert was picked by the Eagles in the second round back in 2018, and he’s signed through 2025. He’s turning 30 next month, so it’ll be interesting to see how he continues to perform.
