Jalen Hurts continues to miss practice as he remains in concussion protocol, raising concerns for the Eagles ahead of the playoffs

Philadelphia: So, Jalen Hurts is still out of practice, huh? He missed another day on Thursday and is still in the concussion protocol. It’s a bummer because he got that concussion back on December 22 against the Commanders.
He didn’t play against the Cowboys in Week 17 either, which isn’t great for the Eagles as they gear up for the playoffs. They’re set to host either the Packers or Commanders in the wild card round soon.
And it’s not just Hurts who’s missing practice. Backup quarterback Kenny Pickett is also out with a rib injury. He hurt himself against the Commanders and made it worse last week against the Cowboys.
With most starters likely sitting out in Week 18, it looks like third-stringer Tanner McKee will get the nod. He and Ian Book were the only quarterbacks at practice on Thursday.
Other key players like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley also skipped practice. It seems they won’t be playing against the Giants this Sunday, which is a bit concerning.
On a brighter note, running back Will Shipley was back practicing after being limited the day before. If he clears the concussion protocol, he could have a big role against the Giants.
Some players like Nakobe Dean, Dallas Goedert, and Bryce Huff were practicing fully, which is good news. Dean missed the last game, but he’s back now. Goedert has been on IR for a while but might return just in time for the playoffs.
Oh, and the Eagles opened up a spot on their roster after putting tight end C.J. Uzomah on IR. It’s all happening as they prepare for the postseason!
