Philadelphia: So, it looks like Nakobe Dean won’t be playing against the Cowboys. He’s officially inactive due to an abdominal injury. Bummer, right?
He was listed as doubtful all week, and it seems that injury really held him back. In his place, Zack Baun will take on a bigger role, wearing the green dot on his helmet.
Expect Oren Burks to step in for Dean. The Eagles also have rookie Jeremiah Trotter Jr. ready to go, plus they brought up Dallas Gant for this game. Smart moves!
Now, about the quarterbacks. Jalen Hurts is out with a concussion, which is a big deal. Kenny Pickett will start, and it’s his first time in over a year. Let’s hope he’s ready!
Backing him up is Tanner McKee, who hasn’t played in a regular season game yet. Ian Book is also on the roster but inactive. He could jump in if things go south for Pickett and McKee.
On the bright side, defensive end Bryce Huff is back after missing five games. He had wrist surgery but is ready to roll again, even with a cast on his hand.
With Huff back, the Eagles can switch up their rotation on defense. They’ve been a bit thin lately, so this is a welcome change.
Oh, and they’ve also activated running back Tyrion Davis-Price to fill in for Will Shipley, who’s out with a concussion. It’s all hands on deck!
