Dunfermline: So, there’s this guy, Steven Boyd, 41, who’s been causing quite a stir. He showed up in court recently for some pretty unsettling behavior.
He admitted to bothering young women on three different occasions, and one of those times, he even went as far as to sexually assault someone.
One incident happened at the Kingsgate shopping center. He grabbed a young woman’s hand and kissed it, which is just plain creepy.
Then, at River Island, he was blowing kisses at a shop worker, asking her if she was dating anyone, and just staring at her. Super uncomfortable, right?
And it didn’t stop there. On a bus ride, he sat next to another young woman when there were plenty of other seats. He started asking her personal questions, like if she had a boyfriend.
It turns out he’s a familiar face at the Kingsgate Centre, but not in a good way. The depute fiscal mentioned he has learning difficulties and is under the care of Fife Council.
The first victim was just 19 and working alone when Boyd approached her. She felt really uncomfortable and even recorded him leaving the shop.
Another victim, a 21-year-old, was followed around by him while he complimented her looks and made her feel uneasy.
After the bus incident, the 19-year-old called her mom to share what happened. Later, she spotted Boyd at her job in Primark and reported him.
Now, Sheriff Susan Duff is waiting for reports, and Boyd is set to be sentenced on February 12. He’s also been placed on the sex offenders register. What a mess!
