Ducks Shot Dead and Butchered Discovered Near Skatepark in Calne
Authorities are investigating the shocking discovery of butchered ducks found near a skatepark in Calne, raising concerns in the community

Calne: So, there’s been this really disturbing incident where some ducks were found shot and butchered near a skatepark. It’s pretty shocking, right? A local person stumbled upon them in the woods close to Station Road.
Apparently, the ducks had their breasts removed before being dumped there. Police think they were shot with a weapon, which is just awful. It’s not clear if this happened in Calne or if the ducks were brought in from somewhere else.
PCSO Mark Cook from Wiltshire Police mentioned that they’re working closely with the Rural Crime Team on this. They’re really worried about what happened to these ducks. Extra patrols are now happening around Castlefields Park and Station Road.
They’re asking anyone who might have seen something suspicious to come forward. If you were around that area and noticed anything odd, they want you to call them. It’s just a sad situation all around, and the community is understandably upset.
