Newcastle: A wild scene unfolded at the Royal Victoria Infirmary when a guy named Daniel Sparnon went off on nurses. He was there for a drug overdose, but instead of getting help, he started shouting nasty stuff at the staff.

This 27-year-old was really out of line, calling nurses all sorts of names and even threatening to punch them. Can you believe that? He even turned his attention to a female security guard, telling her she needed to hit the gym. That’s just low.

After all the chaos, the police showed up, but Sparnon didn’t calm down. He kept being rude, even to the security officer. She later said his comments made her feel really self-conscious, especially with so many people around.

In court, it came out that Sparnon was not in a good place mentally, as he was on anti-depressants. His lawyer explained that he wasn’t really himself at the time. The case is still ongoing, with a follow-up scheduled for February.
