Puddletown: A crash happened on the A35 early Saturday morning. The eastbound lane was closed between Puddletown and Tolpuddle.
A man and a woman were seriously injured but their injuries aren’t life-threatening. Emergency services treated them at the scene.
The road was shut for about four hours, from 4 AM to 8 AM. Both injured individuals were arrested after the crash.
The man, in his 40s, faced charges for driving offenses and drug possession. The woman, in her 50s, was also arrested for driving offenses.
Both suspects have been released while investigations continue. Police found suspected illegal drugs at the crash site.
Dorset Police reported the incident at 4:08 AM. Officers arrived quickly to assist the injured.
Road closures were necessary for emergency response but were lifted shortly after 8 AM.
