North Wales: So, it’s snowing again! Schools are closed today because of the snow and freezing temps. The Met Office has put out a warning for ice and snow, which means a lot of kids are staying home.

This yellow warning is in effect until 11 am, and it started at midnight. They’re saying to expect some snow and icy patches, which could make getting around a bit tricky.

The forecast mentions that we might see rain and sleet at lower levels, but snow is likely in the higher areas. With temperatures dropping, untreated surfaces could get pretty slippery, and a few centimeters of fresh snow could pile up in some spots.

As of this morning, there’s a list of schools that are closed. Interestingly, there are no closures reported on Anglesey or in Wrexham, according to North Wales Live.

In Denbighshire, schools like Ysgol Dewi Sant and Ysgol Betws Gwerfil Goch are closed. Flintshire has schools like Ysgol Treffynnon and Holywell’s Ysgol Maes y Felin shut down too.

Conwy is also affected, with closures at places like Ysgol Aberconwy and Ysgol Eirias. And let’s not forget Gwynedd, where schools are also closed.
