Birmingham: A poor dog was left stuck in a freezing car boot all night after its owner crashed into another parked car. This happened on Dulverton Road in Aston.

The West Midlands Fire Service got the call at 5:56 AM today. When they arrived, they found the dog locked inside a dark Volkswagen Passat. Can you imagine how cold it must have been?

Aston Fire Station shared on social media that the dog had been left alone in those freezing temperatures all night. They even posted pictures showing the damage to the boot and a dog kennel inside.

West Midlands Police showed up too, and they took the dog into their care. They were seen gently guiding the brown dog into a van using dog catcher poles. It’s a relief they got there in time!

The fire station mentioned, “A dog was found locked in the boot, silent through the night in freezing temperatures.” They also reminded everyone not to leave pets in extreme cold and to drive carefully. We still don’t know what happened to the driver, though.
