Philadelphia: Jalen Hurts is keeping it real about the Eagles’ passing game. Sure, the numbers might not look great—like just 131 passing yards and a stretch of 19 plays without a completed pass. But Hurts isn’t sweating it. He’s all about the win.

“Every game is different,” he said. “I play to win, and my role changes from game to game.” He knows that sometimes the stats don’t tell the whole story. Winning is what counts, especially as they gear up for playoff football.

Interestingly, the Eagles are 4-0 when Hurts throws for under 135 yards. It’s not always pretty, but they’ve found a way to get it done. He mentioned that while they might not beat teams like the Lions with just 20 throws, they believe they can handle the Packers or Rams with that strategy.

Hurts acknowledged that the passing game could be sharper, but he also pointed out that he didn’t turn the ball over and made key throws when it mattered. “There’s always something you wish you could have done better,” he said, but he’s proud of how they’ve stepped up when needed.

He’s all about learning and growing, even in his fifth season. “It’s been a journey,” he said, appreciating the lessons he’s picked up along the way. He’s had different coaches and teammates, and he values that experience.

“It’s truly about winning,” he emphasized. “It doesn’t matter how it looks.” Hurts is on a roll, with three straight playoff games boasting a passer rating over 100 and a streak of 158 passes without an interception. That’s impressive!

If he wins on Sunday, he’ll join Donovan McNabb as one of the few Eagles quarterbacks to reach multiple NFC Championship Games before turning 27. He’s making history, and he knows it. “You want to take advantage of these special opportunities,” he said.

Hurts is focused on learning from each experience and applying those lessons moving forward. He’s got a growth mindset, and so does the team. “No complacency, just taking it one day at a time,” he said. Sounds like they’re ready to tackle whatever comes next!
