Inverness: Have you seen our latest mystery photos from the Highlands? If you recognize anyone, we’d love to hear from you!

This is part of a fun feature called Picture Detective, done in partnership with High Life Highland. It’s a great way to connect with the past and maybe even find a familiar face.

The website Am Baile is a treasure trove of Highland history and culture. You can find all sorts of cool stuff there, like photos, films, and even old maps. It covers everything from the 1800s to today, and it’s available in both English and Gaelic.

However, some photos on the site have left researchers scratching their heads because they lack any details or captions. Today’s images come from the J Thomson Collection at the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, and we’ve got the green light to share them with you.
