New York: So, there’s this serious situation involving Sean “Diddy” Combs. A teenager, who was just 16 at the time, claims he drugged and assaulted her after she was walking home from babysitting.
According to the lawsuit, which just came out, this all went down back in late August or early September 2000. The girl, referred to as Jane Doe, says Diddy convinced her to get into his SUV.
Now, this lawsuit was filed recently, and it’s making waves. Diddy is currently in a detention center in Brooklyn, facing other serious charges related to sex trafficking.
Over the last year and a half, at least 40 other people have come forward with similar allegations against him. It’s a lot to take in.
He’s 55 now and has pleaded not guilty to all the charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He was arrested in New York City back in September and has been behind bars since then.
The lawsuit mentions that the girl was babysitting in a building where a well-known woman, who Diddy was dating, lived. The girl was just trying to get home when she ran into him.
She says he started chatting with her, asking why she was out so late and that it wasn’t safe for her to walk alone. She told him she lived nearby, but he kept pushing and eventually got her to hop in his car.
That decision, she claims, is something she would regret forever. There was another guy in the car, and they didn’t take her home as promised.
Things took a turn when Diddy gave her a drink to “calm her down,” and she quickly felt groggy and unsteady. The lawsuit states that she was then taken to a different location where she was assaulted.
Afterward, she was dropped off at her building, but the whole experience was traumatic. Diddy’s team has denied all the allegations, insisting he’s never assaulted anyone.
They argue that anyone can file a lawsuit these days, but they believe the truth will come out in court. It’s a tough situation for everyone involved.
