During a chat on NBC Sports Boston, McCourty talked about how Stevens came to practice and ended up joining in on their “Fellowship Friday.” This is when the team would chill after practice, grab some food, and just hang out. They usually talked basketball, and they really wanted Stevens to join in.
McCourty said, “The dude was awesome.” He described how they bombarded Stevens with questions about NBA players, debating who was a role player or an All-Star. It was all in good fun, and Stevens just laughed and went along with it.
