Derby: Derby County is looking at West Brom striker Karlan Grant. They want to strengthen their attack.
Head coach Paul Warne aims to improve the team’s performance this season. They want to move out of the relegation zone.
According to the Express and Star, Derby is keeping an eye on Grant. They want to finalize their transfers before the 11pm deadline.
However, Baggies reporter Lewis Cox says West Brom needs a replacement first. This condition is crucial for any deal to happen.
Grant has played 27 games this season and scored six goals. His speed and Championship experience could benefit Derby.
Derby is short on strikers due to Dajaune Brown’s hamstring injury. He needs surgery, leaving only Lars-Jorgen Salvesen and Jerry Yates available.
Recently, Derby also showed interest in Elie Youan from Hibernian. Stoke made a £1.5m offer for him over the weekend.
So far, Derby has made three signings this window. Salvesen joined, followed by Matt Clarke from Middlesbrough, and Sondre Langas from Viking FK.
Langas is expected to debut this weekend when Derby plays Norwich City.
